Registering Using the iCampus Portal

See the iCampus Portal for your registration date and time. You may register on or after the date and time assigned.

Register using the iCampus Portal

    Registering within the iCampus Portal can be done from any computer with Internet access and a browser. On the login screen, enter your University Logon Identification (ULID) and password and click the Login button. Information regarding the ULID can be found at https://secure.ilstu.edu/ulid. Questions regarding the ULID can be answered by contacting the University Computer Help Desk at 438-4357 (438-HELP).
     
    When you are in the iCampus Portal, click on the “My Info” tab. This will give you access to the Student Information channel.  Enter your four digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) into the appropriate box and click the Submit button. Your PIN is initially your birth month and birth date.

After you enter your PIN:

    1. Click on “Course Registration,” and select the semester
    2. Click on the “Class Directory” link at the top of your schedule
    3. Select a department from the pull down menu and/or enter the course number
    4. Select a course and click the Show Open Section link
    5. Click the “Add” button for desired section
    6. The six digit course reference number will appear at the top of your schedule, click the "Register" button to add the course
    7. The course will be added to your schedule (if not displayed, the course has not been added and a message will provide an explanation).

Other useful information is also available through the iCampus Portal including: grades, request for grade mailer, class schedule, textbook listings, financial aid information, confirmation of attendance, Redbird Card balance, billing information, e-mail and more.

    Internet Courses

    • Non-ISU students: you must be admitted to the University in order to register for Internet Courses. Please print the Internet Course Registration Form , fill it out and send by either mail or fax. This form must include the department, course number and section number of the course you wish to take.

    • Current ISU students: you may register for Internet courses as any other courses, during open registration periods on the iCampus Portal.
