- Academic Advisement
Each Illinois State University student is assigned an academic advisor
to help with educational planning prior to registration. Use
the Registration Worksheet
(PDF 36KB) for schedule planning. Students should meet with
their academic advisor before registering for courses. If you are
advised in the University College Academic Advisement Center, you are urged to make appointments
in that office as early as possible so that you have adequate time
for advisement before you register.
New students beginning this academic year will find the undergraduate and graduate catalogs
available as a PDF from the Illinois State University home page. For older versions
of the catalog, please visit our catalog
archive.

- Prerequisites
Students who have not met the required prerequisites should not register
for the course.
Many course sections have mandatory prerequisites which are listed
in the current undergraduate or graduate catalogs. Each student
is responsible for meeting the published prerequisites for each course
requested. After
each registration period, departments may review the completion of
prerequisites of registered students. The academic units have
the authority to administratively drop a student from a course for
which the student has not fulfilled the published prerequisites.
