There is a $6.00 fee per official Illinois State University transcript (Illinois State University does not have unofficial transcripts). We cannot accept telephone requests. Transcript requests are generally processed within two business days. Transcript requests will not be processed on days that the University is closed –weekends, holidays and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
Please note: If you have a financial obligation with the University, we will not be able to fulfill your request. If you suspect that this is the case, please contact the Student Accounts Office at (309) 438-5643 before you submit a request.
Transcripts may be requested in the following ways:
Illinois State University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order your transcripts by using any major credit card. Your card will be charged after your order has been completed. There is a $2.25 online processing fee per mailing address in addition to the $6.00 fee per Illinois State University transcript.
NOTE: Please be advised that we are unable to accept faxed orders for transcripts nor can we fax transcripts to recipients.
Transcripts ordered in person at the Registrar Service Center by 3 p.m. are available for pick-up the next business day after 11 a.m. Please note that transcripts are not available on demand. The Registrar Service Center is located in 107 Moulton Hall. You may fill out a request form there and pay by check, credit card or in cash. If you pay with cash, please bring the exact amount ($6.00 per transcript), as we have no provision for making change. Also be sure to bring a picture ID. Office hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Transcripts may also be ordered in person at the Student Accounts Office at 607 W. Dry Grove St. The office is open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday except on Thursdays when the hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You may fill out a request there and pay by check or cash. You will need to bring a picture ID. Note: to pick up your transcript at the Registrar Service Center the next business day, the request must be made at Student Accounts by noon.
If you need to send someone to pick up your transcript, you will first need to order your transcript. You must then give the individual picking up your transcript a second document inidcating to us that you are giving us permission to hand over your transcript to him/her. Please print and and fill out the the Transcript Authorization Form.
Due to the danger of identity theft, persons who wish to change their first, middle or last names on their transcripts must provide a copy of a marriage license, a court order or a dissolution decree certifying their name change. Please mail or fax a copy of one of these documents before ordering a transcript to: Illinois State University, Registrar Service Center, Campus Box 2202, Normal, IL 61790-2202; Fax: (309) 438-8652. Please be sure to sign this request. Without your signature, we cannot process your name change. We cannot accept a copy of your current driver’s license or social security card as proof of name change.
