University Curriculum Committee
The University Curriculum Committee is a body that is responsible for
evaluating new and revised curriculum proposals that affect the Illinois
State University undergraduate curriculum as follows:
- New and revised majors, minors, sequences and any courses that
are required within are reviewed and approved by the University
Curriculum Committee.
- Stand-alone courses are reviewed and approved by the Executive
Secretary of the Committee.
- Editorial changes are reviewed and approved by the Executive
Secretary of the Committee.

On March 24,
2004, the Academic Senate approved a form as an addition to the new
program approval process. This form, request for new program
approval (PDF 92KB) , verifies that the financial implications of any new
program have been examined and that resources are available for the
implementation of the program proposed. Please complete this form
for all new programs and submit it as you would all other forms
relevant to the approval process.
Curriculum
proposals circulate for a two-week period to
provide opportunities for review by the campus community. Objections to any proposals must be received by the University Curriculum Committee no later than two weeks following the date of circulation.
